1. The operation of disposable catgut embedding needle is used when the patient is in the prone or supine position, exposing the required catgut embedding site.
2. Disinfect local skin with 75% alcohol or iodophor.
3. Prepare the needle and thread body. Take a section of catgut or polymer nanocrystalline wire body with forceps, place it at the front end of the surface of the embedding needle, and push the wire body into the needle tube with forceps. Note that the thread must be completely inserted into the needle, not exposed outside the needle tip.
4. According to the different parts of the needle, the left thumb and index finger tighten or lift the skin of the needle, hold the needle in the right hand, quickly penetrate into the skin, and further extend into the appropriate depth of the acupoint according to the anatomical characteristics of the acupoint.
5. After obtaining the needle sensation, push the needle core while withdrawing the needle tube, and implant the thread body into the subcutaneous tissue or muscle layer of the acupoint.
6. After the needle, immediately press the needle hole with a dry cotton swab for a moment, and apply a medical infusion paste.
